This guide has been produced to assist users with tactics to search the Plan View using filters.
Overview:
Whilst the functionality is named 'filter' it can also be used as a search function to assist in quickly locating individual items. In this example, we'll demonstrate how to search for a particular borehole using the custom filters.
Method:
To create a filter or search term to find all boreholes greater than or equal to 50 metres, and starts with "EXR008", the following steps can be followed:
- Within the Plan View, Select the 'Filter' option from the ribbon.
- Click 'Customise Filter...'
- Add the first condition:
Operator AND
Column SITE_ID Comparison LIKE Value EXR008% - Press Add and the condition will be added to the filter text
- Add your second condition. Each Filter may contain multiple conditions if required.
Operator AND
Column END_DEPTH Comparison >= Value 50 - Again, Press 'Add' to confirm your second condition
- Press 'OK' to return to the plan view. Notice at the bottom of the screen, you'll now see a new section containing the point filter:
- To highlight the points, head back up to the ribbon and click 'Select All'
In your Plan View, You can now see the searched points:
If you would like to re-integrate your original results, while still keeping the searched/filtered results exposed:
- De-Select the 'Point Filter' check box in the bottom left corner:
Now you can see your original points, plus the ones that have been highlighted as a result of your filter/search:
