Sometimes, when doing changes to a profile with pre existing data, the following error may happen. This can be frustrating when multiple changes have been made and it is difficult to identify what column is affected. Usually this error is from when a column is changed to a reference column and the below error is thrown.
To fix this problem, we would need to revert the affected column back to the original data type. If several changes have been made and the original column is not remembered, then close the edit window and do not save the changes. This will then revert back to the last saved version of the profile.
Enter your profile and navigate to the referenced table. From here, delete the data in this table. This will allow the changes to be made on the profile.
Whenever these kinds of changes need to be made, we strongly recommend that you back up the data within the profile so that no data loss occurs. You can also back up the database before major changes are made by going to File - Backup
