Summary : Job Scheduler on Geobank allows users to execute reports in unattended mode at pre-set date / time triggers.
However when executing the reports it is observed that the reports do not execute as expected and the export folder where the reports is set to be saved is empty.
The Log file indicates that Geobank is unable to find the object as it does not exist.
Affected Versions:
This issue was observed in Geobank 2024.5 (version 24.5.1800.2) and likely exists in earlier versions.
Error Message :
Following error message is seen on the Geobank245.log file located in the C:\ProgramData\MICROMINE\Geobank\Logs folder
"2024-10-10 14:10:44,214 [1] INFO : [<OnViewLoaded>d__408.MoveNext] Task 287 started in unattended mode (args: 287 -D 1. GB_DEMO_CONFIG_LOCAL -X -C -U)

2024-10-10 14:10:44,471 [1] INFO : [<OnViewLoaded>d__408.MoveNext] Task 287 completed"
Root Cause:
A bug in the configuration prevents Advanced reports with no substitution parameters from being detected when executed in unattended mode.
Work Around:
Users with Geobank 24.5 and below will need to add the advanced reports to a macro object. Then use the macro object for the job scheduler. The object is identified when used using a macro. Macro used will need to be assigned to users using profile, same as the original report object for it to execute using job scheduler.
Resolution:
Developers resolved the issue by releasing a bug fix in Geobank Version 25.0 and above.
Additional Notes:
1. Issues is only existing on Geobank version 2024.5 and below.
2. Same process can be applied if the issues is occurring with an object other then advanced reports.
3. All other credentials required to execute job scheduler will still be required in order to execute advanced reports using job scheduler.
