This guide has been produced to provide end-users with insight into the usage requirements for Shewhart Chart reporting.
Overview:
The Shewhart Chart reports require complete information (metadata) related to all of the results from the main SQL query, which consists of these compulsory fields:
Error Presentation:
During execution, this Chart will attempt to identify the essential values for every combination of the element and method from the output result set. If something is missed in the database and cannot be found, then the appropriate message with a detailed explanation will appear:
You can use the [Details] button to see what was found to be missing.
In this example:
GLG910-1 for Au|FA_ICPMS
G302-3 for Au|FA-ICPAES
Resolution:
Adding the missing/incomplete records can be achieved in the “Sample Tracker Metadata”:
In the Standards tab, search for the standards referenced in the Warning message:
- “GLG910-1”
and - “G302-3”.
As we can see in this example, the Standard “G302-3” is not only missing Nominal and Standard Deviation values, but it also lacks an Expected Result record for the required combination, so we need to add it here.
Click on the green plus button [+] and fill in the details for a new Standard Expected result record.
After populating the information in the grid, we can see the completed information for "G302-3":
Now, we complete a similar operation for the standard "GLG910-1". In this case, we add a record with the Element (Au) and the corresponding nominal, Unit, and Standard Deviation values.
After all of the missing records are added or created, the Shewhart Chart will run without error:
