In this article we will take a look at the steps required to create a new profile.
Firstly, access the configuration manager by clicking on the Config button in the top ribbon.
Once the button has been clicked, the configuration manager will open in a new tab in Geobank.
Under the configuration manager on the left of the list view, the profiles can be accessed.
By clicking on the arrow, the current profiles can be seen.
To add a new profile, please right click on the profiles menu item and click on new.
Once we have clicked on the profile option to add a new profile, there are some settings that will have to be given and selected.
a Name needs to be given to the profile and a description can be added if required.
The image dropdown box can be clicked to select a specific image that will be assigned to the profile.
When we create the profile, it is also important to select the areas where the profile will be displayed once created.
The profile could be show on the home screen, which is the default, or it can be shown in the ribbon.
The option also exists to display the profile in both.
Once the profile has been connected, we need to add all the tools into the profile as right now it is an empty shell.
First, we will have to add task lists.
We can do this by right clicking on the profile that we just created and selecting the option to add a new task list.
Task lists are like folders, we add them and give them appropriate names so that we can logically group the tools under the profile. This makes it easier for the users to quickly find the tools they are looking for.
In the example I have created task lists that will split the users work into daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
But any structure will work here.
Once the task lists have been created, we can simply click and drag the tools that we want from into the task lists.
Once all of the tool required has been moved into the tasks lists of the profile, the profile can then be assigned to the users and will be ready to use.
