This guide has been created to assist users in the process of forwarding usage data to Micromine Support using the Usage Information Browser.
Overview:
The Usage Information Browser is a tool that enables administrators to track system metrics and monitor application usage. It further supplies the support team with system information that can be used to diagnose software or hardware issues that may be impacting the performance of your Micromine Geobank solution.
Steps:
Configure Email Settings:
Before attempting to send usage information, the system must first have the User Email address configured to allow email transmission:
- Open the 'Configuration Manager'.
- Click on the 'Users and Groups' tree.
- Right Click on the user that will send the email.
- Click on Properties.
- Ensure the user has a valid email address specified.
Manually Sending Usage Data
To manually forward usage information to the Micromine Support team, follow these steps:
- Click the Configuration Tab on the ribbon.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Click 'Logging', found under System Settings.
- Select the appropriate Severity Level, Usage Information and Schedule. A support specialist can assist if you need guidance on which items are required to assist diagnostics.
- Click 'Send Now'.
Usage Data:
To review what data will be sent to Micromine, It can be viewed in the Usage Data Browser:
- Click the Configuration Tab on the ribbon.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Review the data contained within:
